Job Description
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Lamination Machine Operator is responsible for applying film to textiles and preparing rolls for shipment. The Lamination Machine Operator monitors variables to maintain proper machine conditions and works with the Quality Control Lab and Technical staff to adjust run conditions to produce required targets and properties of fabric rolls.
Job Type: Full time, onsite
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:45 am - 4:00 pm
Compensation: Starting hourly rate of $21.00 an hour. A .50 an hour increase is given after 90 days of employment. A $3,000 retention bonus will be paid out in $1,000 increments at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for applying film to textile and preparing rolls for shipment
  • Must follow instructions for laminating of rolls
  • Monitors Laminating Machine variables to maintain proper machine conditions
  • Works with Quality Control Lab and Technical staff to adjust run conditions to produce required targets and properties of fabric rolls
  • Conform to all safety guidelines and procedures
  • Operate equipment according to SOP and specifications provided
  • All other duties, as assigned

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills
  • Must be able to read, write and speak basic English
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Pre-employment physical, drug screen & background check required

Successful candidate will have strengths in the following:
  • Proven work experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Familiarity with the use of fork trucks, pallet jacks, and other necessary warehouse equipment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical stamina and dexterity necessary for the work; ability to lift or move at least 40 lbs.
  • Positive and team-work focused attitude. Must work well with others.
  • Good attendance record
  • Attention to detail

Work Environment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibrations.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
  • Trelleborg is a non-smoking property. The use of tobacco is not allowed onsite including outside of the facility.
