Full Time LPN

Gilmer County Jail | Ellijay, Georgia
Monday through Friday | 5:30 AM Start | 8 Hour Shifts

Southern Health Partners has been a leader in correctional healthcare for more than 30 years, and we're looking for a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Gilmer County Jail.

If you enjoy a predictable weekday schedule and want to practice nursing where your skills truly make an impact, this is an opportunity to provide quality patient care while working alongside an experienced healthcare team.

What You'll Do
  • Complete daily medication passes safely and accurately
  • Assess and monitor patients for changes in condition
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered
  • Document patient care in the electronic medical record
  • Assist with sick call, intake screenings, and other nursing duties as needed
  • Collaborate with providers and fellow healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient care
  • Help promote a safe, healthy environment for both patients and staff
Qualifications
  • Current, unrestricted Georgia LPN license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong medication administration and assessment skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
  • Correctional healthcare experience is a plus, but not required
