Our Child and Family Mental Health Teams is looking to hire a full-time, LPC or LCSW, LSCSW whose primary role will be to deliver evidence-based treatments for youth and their parents/caregivers. Overview

This Child and Family Mental Health Provider will work in our multidisciplinary Pain Clinic and in the intensive interdisciplinary Rehabilitation for Amplified Pain Syndromes (RAPS) program. In RAPS, this clinician will provide both individual and group-based treatment for patients diagnosed with amplified pain, working closely as part of a team including physical and occupational therapists, yoga, music and art therapy, social work, psychology, and medical providers. In the Pain Clinic, this clinician will provide consultation on health behaviors and mental health treatments for adolescents with amplified pain and their families as part of a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and massage therapists. The ideal candidate will have experience providing therapy for adolescents, and the pain team is able to provide training and supervision in the nuances of working with patients who have chronic pain.

This is a Monday - Friday, daytime role (7:30am - 4:00pm), in our Pain and RAPS Clinic and is primarily located at our main campus in Kansas City, MO.

The Child and Family Mental Health Provider is a Master's level Clinician or Social Worker who will provide evidence-based therapy services to children and families at Children's Mercy.

Responsibilities

  • Child and Family Therapy Service Provision and Documentation: The Child and Family Mental Health Provider role will provide evidence based child and family therapy services, in the assigned area/clinic.
  • This provider will provide back-up coverage and help support occasionallyinpatient consultation, outpatient crisis intervention, and the Acute Mental Health Screening (AMHS) Team.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree MSW from Accredited Program and 1-2 years' experience, Plus:
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) MO required upon hire (obtain KS license within 90 days) OR
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) MO required upon hire (obtain KS license within 90 days)

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $29.66/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
