DCI is seeking a full-time, passionate mid-level software developer with 5+ years' experience to develop cutting edge software applications for the Horizontal Drilling Industry. Join an enthusiastic team as we build our product offerings for both B2B solutions and consumer electronics.

Our products solve real-world problems in the Horizontal Drilling Industry and are used by real customers. As such, you will be responsible for writing production-level code. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of extraordinary problem-solving skills. DCI offers a highly collaborative work environment with a very challenging domain problem.

As a mid-level software developer, you will first be responsible for developing customer facing Qt QML-based solutions as well as using the latest C++ and Linux technology. Afterwards, you will be exposed to all parts of the product eco-systems on a variety of stacks where only high quality, object-oriented coding practices are accepted. DCI does not sacrifice product quality for schedules.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with Domain experts & UX designers to build High Usability & Intuitive User Experience.
  • Work effectively as a member in our Scrum Agile process.
  • Identify, establish, and propagate best practices and patterns for GUI implementation in Linux desktop application.
  • Develop software as per established Product Development Life Cycle processes.
  • Write technical requirements, develop Unit Test Plans, maintain traceability between requirements & deliverables.
  • Participate in peer-reviews of designs, implementations (code) & documentations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years recent GUI development experience in Qt QML with solid C++ skills.
  • Experience with desktop Qt QML, Dependency Injection and MVVM pattern.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design, principles and data visualization to create a polished, intuitive user experience is strongly desired.
  • Ability to design and implement visually compelling screens using QML
  • Experience doing Unit Testing/TDD with an expectation of high code coverage.
  • Solid understanding and experience with software design and architecture patterns.
  • Ability to architect efficient and reusable software abstractions.
  • Experience with event driven and asynchronous programming models.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from an accredited university
  • Comprehensive understanding of algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and concurrency topics.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience using SOLID principles, Clean Code practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Desired Skills:

  • Showcase exciting projects he or she built in either an industrial or at-home setting.
  • Experience with the gtest unit test framework.
  • Experience developing software that monitors or controls hardware devices.
  • Knowledge with wire-framing prototypes.

Compensation:

  • DCI is proud to offer comprehensive compensation packages including competitive base pay and discretionary quarterly profit sharing bonuses to all part-time and full-time team members. Base pay is reviewed at a minimum on an annual basis.
  • Pay range: $124,000 to $145,800 per year. To ensure equity, our compensation philosophy is to bring people into new roles in the range of the mid-point of that role. Factors consideredfor payinclude thelevel of skill,experience, training, external market factors, and internal value.
  • Profit sharing bonus: Over the last 3 years, quarterly bonuses ranged between 11% and 17%. Future bonuses could be higher or lower depending on company profits.
