We are seeking a Full-time Landscape Crew Lead who is passionate about creating clean, organized, and safe environments for our clients. You'll be responsible for the maintenance and appearance of our client's facilities and responsible for reporting any maintenance or repairs.
Shift:
Monday - Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
A Landscape Crew Lead Supervises, trains, and works with Landscaping Technicians on commercial accounts.
The Landscape Crew Lead oversees lawn mowing, clean-ups, mulching, trimming, landscape maintenance, pruning, trimming, fertilization, weed control, planting of trees and shrubs, flower installation, leaf clean-ups, and similar tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Mowing, weeding, pruning, edging, blowing, raking, sodding, seeding and fertilizing client properties
  • Operating power equipment such as mowers, riding mowers, electric shears, edgers, chainsaws, blowers and other landscaping equipment.
  • Perform maintenance on equipment to include changing mower blades, edger blades, string on trimmer, changing oil, oil filter, air filter and belts.
  • String trimming all turf areas not accessible to a walk behind mower
  • Edge all curb, sidewalk, and driveway areas
  • Blowing off all clippings and landscape debris from concrete areas
  • Picking up trash throughout properties
  • Recommend improvements to existing operations to improve quality and efficiency of operations.
  • Maintains and promotes safe working conditions in the field
  • Respond properly to the client and follow up to make sure their needs have been completed to their satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Supervisor or Manager.
  • Ensures crew meets projected man hour and materials budgets on assigned work tickets.
  • Prepares and secures all materials, tools and equipment daily.
  • Tops off with fuel, turns in paperwork to office, cleans service vehicle and prepares for next day's activity.
  • Assign tasks to crew members and follow up to make sure directed work was completed.
  • Ensure all crew members report to work on time and follow all company rules and procedures.
  • Take appropriate disciplinary actions as necessary and involves Landscape Manager when necessary.
  • Train and develop members on company safety policies
  • Trains crew members to do landscape job effectively and efficiently.
  • Able to cross train crew members in the performance of Crew Leader's role for future growth.

  • 2+ years of landscaping experience required
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and work independently at times
  • Prefer at least 1 year experience supervising a Landscape Crew
  • Must have a driver's license and insurable driving record
  • Successful completion of a background check
