General ResponsibilitiesUnder the general direction of the Specialized Transportation Director, the Courier Driver will provide pickup and delivery services, including shuttle print shop services to both ESD 112 and for school districts in Southwest Washington.
Salary:The full hourly range for this position is $18.10-$22.03.
Offers are made at the beginning of the listed range.Assignment: The person in this position will work 32-40 per week (4-day work week), year-round.

Essential Functions/Other FunctionsEssential Functions:
- Operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington and rules and regulations of ESD 112.
- Maintain materials pickup and delivery schedule.
- Deliver and pick up materials to/from ESD and districts.
- Maintain accurate log of materials delivered from district to district and any other required records.
- Inspect, clean and request routine vehicle maintenance and deliver vehicle for maintenance.
- Perform equipment safety checks and maintain vehicle in safe operating condition.
- Keep supervisor informed of activities.
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative communications with school staff, peers, supervisors, etc.
- Maintain regular attendance to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & SkillsMinimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- One year experience as a driver of a truck or commercial vehicle or, in the alternative, at least three years of experience as a driver of a passenger vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Successful experience in an educational setting.
- Successful experience driving delivery type vehicles.
- Experience in a customer service environment.
- Knowledge of the Southwest Washington region.
- Ability to read and interpret maps and street guides.
- Ability to write legibly and keep required records.
Working Conditions/Employment RequirementsWorking Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- Move and position packages in and out of delivery vehicle in all weather conditions.
- Sit in seat of delivery van intermittently for approximately 10 hours per day.
- Operate delivery vehicle under a variety of road conditions.
- Strength and agility to move 75-100 lbs. in and out of delivery vehicle cargo area.
Employment Requirements:
- Successful completion of a criminal records and fingerprint background check.
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driver's abstract.
