Job Summary
F&G Mechanical Corp. is seeking a dependable and motivated Boom Truck Driver to join our team in Secaucus, New Jersey. The ideal candidate is 21 years of age or older, holds a valid CDL Class A license, and has boom truck/lift experience. This full-time position is responsible for safely delivering tools, equipment, and materials to construction sites. Warehouse experience is a plus.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Safely operates delivery vehicle while driving to assigned locations;
• Delivers equipment, tools, materials, parts and supplies to construction job sites;
• Assists with loading and unloading trucks for deliveries;
• General warehouse duties, including tool and material inventory;
• Comply with all Company operating policies, procedures, OSHA, and safety programs as established
Qualifications
• Warehouse Delivery or similar experience preferred;
• Must be 21 years or older with a High School Diploma or GED;
• Must have and maintain a valid CDL A license with a good driving record;
• Candidate must possess proficient manual transmission operation skills
• Minimum 4+ years of verified experience operating a boom truck. Candidates without direct boom truck experience will not be considered.
• Operates a truck with a hydraulic crane (boom) to lift, move, and place heavy materials at job sites
• Requiring a CDL, boom operation skills, and knowledge of safety protocols to safely transport and maneuver loads like steel, pipe, or equipment, coordinating with ground crews and performing pre-trip inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations like OSHA.
• Experience Pulling Trailers and Driving Lift Gate Trucks.
• Some early morning and weekends may be required for deliveries.
• Have an excellent attitude towards safety and firm adherence to safety protocols, Company operating policies, procedures, OSHA, and safety programs as established.
• Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and continued compliance with all U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) mandated random drug and alcohol testing requirements.
