OnsiteElectro-Mechanical Field Service Technician

Location:Rock Island, TX
Job Status:Full-Time
FLSA Status:Non-Exempt
Reports to:Field Service Staff Manager
Work Schedule: 12 hour day shift and 12 hour night shift crews with a 4 day on 4 day off rotation. Shift positions are evaluated every 6 months. There is a night shift pay differential which is paid in recognition of these non-standard working hours. The additional hourly amount is $2.50 per hour flat dollar premium.

Position Summary

This pivotal role will be instrumental in supporting the plant's reliability and operation support, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation support of the facility in Rock Island/TX.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all day-to-day maintenance and reliability functions of the facility.
  • Support the operations team to operate the facility as defined by the O&M contract obligations and detailed in thePlant'soperating manual.
  • Investigate mechanical problems, open technical cases, and interact with the various technical and product support teams.
  • Maintain a strong QHSE culture at assigned sites, including performing frequent quality and safety audits of work
  • Provides technical and operational solutions to correct deficiencies.
  • Performs equipment inspections, testing, and operational checks.
  • Maintain electronic facility logbook, highlighting activities andimportantevents
  • Communicates regularly with the INNIO Staff Manager for exchange, consultation, guidance, and required approvals.
  • Maintains good relations with suppliers, customers, vendors, service providers, and contractors.
  • This role supports the operation team with site's coverage during vacations or absences, during holidays, weekends and night shift when needed,

Qualification Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Experience in service and maintenanceinpower generation equipment, specifically in large gas (reciprocating) engines anditsauxiliary equipment
  • 3+ years of Experience in Gas Engine Maintenance and its components: Combustion, fuel systems, lubrication systems, cooling systems, etc.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical problems efficiently and effectively to minimize downtime.
  • Experience in planning and executing preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance and longevity of gas engines.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze performance data, identify trends, and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Technical training and certifications in gas engine maintenance and power plant.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and resourcefulness in handling unexpected challenges and evolving operational requirements in a dynamic power plant environment.
  • Achieve and maintain the proper field technician certifications.
  • Degree in a technical field
  • Fluency in English.
