Job description

Position: SR Java Developer
Location: Sacramento, CA
Duration: 12 months
Mandatory Qualifications:
  • All full-time resources must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience, during the last seven (7) years, using advanced Java programming skills to perform systems design, development, testing and implementation, and troubleshooting activities in support of Java applications.
  • All full-time resources must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience, during the last seven (7) years, developing applications using PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages in an Oracle 12c or higher database environment using PL/SQL developer, SQL developer, TOAD, or any similar tool.
  • All full-time resources must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience, during the last five (5) years, with Java Application Server administration and configurations such as Jboss.
  • At least one (1) resource must have at least seven (7) years of experience in the last ten (10) years in designing, developing, testing, implementing, troubleshooting, and integrating with web-based Java/J2EE applications that utilize the following frameworks/technologies:
    • Java Server Pages
    • Servlets
    • Java Beans
    • Spring
    • Java 1.6 and higher
    • Annotations
    • AJAX
    • LDAP
  • At least one (1) full-time resource must have two (2) years of experience, within the last five (5) years, with web services, NIEM, and JSON (JavaScript Object Notation).
  • At least one (1) resource must have at least five (5) years of experience in the last seven (7) years using advanced web programming skills to perform systems design, coding, testing and implementation, and troubleshooting activities in support of web application development.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • At least two (2) years of experience with testing tools such as JMeter, Junit, and Soap UI.
  • At least two (2) years of experience interfacing with the California Law Enforcement Telecommunications System or similar system.
  • At least two (2) years of experience writing technical documentation such as sequence diagrams and system design documentation.
  • At least two (2) years of experience working with SiteMinder (or equivalent) technologies for authentication and authorization.
  • At least two (2) years of experience with conducting formal knowledge transfer and/or training sessions on the Java technologies, architecture, design pattern, programming logic, and coding practices.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in the last seven (7) years in user-centric design that is compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related or Engineering field.
