Familiarity with mainframe development tools (e.g., IBM z/OS, TSO/ISPF), version control systems, and sometimes certifications such as IBM Certified System Programmer are typically required. Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills help developers translate business needs into robust mainframe solutions and collaborate across diverse IT teams. These capabilities ensure the reliable modernization, maintenance, and integration of enterprise-level legacy systems with new Java applications.

What are some common challenges faced by Full Time Java Mainframe Developers when integrating modern Java applications with legacy mainframe systems?
