Qualificationsrequired
  • 1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC)
    • Long Term Acute Care (LTAC/LTACH)
    • Medical/Surgical (MedSurg)
  • ANY of the following valid licenses/certifications:
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
    • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Required skills and experience: -

Graduation from a Licensed Vocational Nurse Program and current license/permit as a vocational nurse in the State of Texas - 1+ year of Med/Surg or LTAC experience - Current AHA BLS required - LVN's must be IV Therapy Certified

Full Time 4:3 rotating

Ability to do a lot of different jobs – Clinic, in-patient, med pass, out-patient, wound care, cell side care, ER, critical care Additional job details: - Provides nursing services, treatments and diagnostic and preventive procedures appropriate for inmate care and safety - Interprets physicians' orders - Administers prescribed medication - When physician is present, assists physician with sick call - Applies surgical dressings and bandages - Provides emergency first aid care - Checks and records vital signs - Instructs
