About the Role:
The primary function of an Irrigation Craftsman is to irrigate our plants. This includes opening and closing valves and programming the irrigation schedule prepared by Crop Grower Coaches. The irrigation craftsman drives through areas irrigating to ensure plants are being irrigated well, and repairing and unplugging sprinklers, as necessary. Buried lines at times need to be dug up and repaired. Other work may include ensuring that fertilizer injection systems are working, pump stations and screens are clean. As a Pump House Irrigator, you will be responsible of the daily well, and pump system start up and shut down.
Employment Status: Employment is full-time, year- round.
Shift: Shift may vary based on business needs. Candidates must be able to work varying schedules as needed
Compensation: $17.00-$17.50

You will...
  • Follow the irrigation schedule prepared by Crop Grower Coaches.
  • Operate irrigation system pumps and valves.
  • Drive through nursery and ensure all irrigation systems are operating properly.
  • Repair irrigation lines and sprinklers when broken using appropriate tools (shovels, saws wrenches, etc.).
  • Clean pump station screens.
  • Monitor the Nursery during overnight hours to help ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Setting irrigation timing via computer.
  • Work extended hour work shifts on a rotating schedule.
  • Verify fertilizer batch plant and chlorine injection systems are operating.
  • Performs other related duties to benefit the mission of the company as assigned.
  • Re-fill Sulphur storage bin to keep it at an operating level
  • Monitor PH levels daily to improve water quality
