Job description

Mount Sinai South Nassau is seeking a full-time, board-certified/board-eligible Neurologist to join their Division of Neurology in Oceanside, Long Island. This role offers an excellent professional opportunity within an integrated health care system, contributing to a growing comprehensive thrombectomy-capable Stroke Center and Neurology Service. The position involves providing exceptional medical care within a highly-regarded hospital known for its quality.

Practice Info

  • Division of Neurology currently comprised of eight faculty Neurologists
  • Hospital has Joint Commission's gold seal of approval for disease-specific care for primary stroke
  • AHA Gold Plus Stroke Center and partial thrombectomy capable interventional services
  • Active neurosurgical service, state-of-the-art neurological imaging studies and epilepsy platform
  • Full-service tertiary care hospital
  • Building a full comprehensive thrombectomy capable Stroke Center and Neurology Service

Responsibilities

  • Employed full time position based at Mount Sinai South Nassau
  • Inpatient neurology consultative services
  • Call coverage for stroke
  • Serve a diverse population
  • Teaching and or research opportunities available

Compensation

  • Compensation range from $300,000 to $320,000 (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
  • Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need

Requirements

  • Medical Degree from an Accredited University
  • New York Medical License
  • Graduate from an accredited ACGME Neurology Residency Program
  • BE or BC in Neurology
  • Experienced neurologists and new graduates are welcome to apply
  • Additional fellowship training in Vascular Neurology, EEG, or other areas is welcome but not required
