Description

Job Title: Facilities Janitor

Hours: 7:45am to 4:30pm, M-F

Reports: Warehouse and HR Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time, Hourly


Position Summary:

The Facilities Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout the facility. This position supports daily operations by completing routine cleaning of offices, restrooms, kitchenettes, breakrooms, warehouse areas, and common spaces. The Facilities Janitor is also responsible for removing trash and cardboard, cleaning warehouse floors, restocking supplies, and responding to sanitizing needs as necessary.


Key Responsibilities:

  •  Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchenettes, breakrooms, offices, desks, and common areas. 
  •  Empty trash daily and remove cardboard from warehouse areas to the designated disposal or recycling location. 
  •  Clean office floors, vacuum rugs, dust surfaces, and restock cleaning and restroom supplies.
  •  Sweep warehouse floors and operate floor-cleaning equipment, including the Zamboni/floor scrubber, as assigned. Occasional need to clean picnic areas and outside pathways.
  •  Respond to spills, sanitizing needs, or other cleaning incidents as necessary. 
  •  Keep warehouse aisles, walkways, dock areas, and shared spaces free of debris and clutter. 
  •  Properly use, clean, and store janitorial supplies, chemicals, and equipment. 
  •  Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, damaged equipment, or supply needs to the appropriate manager.
  •  Complete other cleaning or facility-related tasks as assigned.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitation practices preferred. 
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. 
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. 
  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
