Responsibilities

As an Insurance Customer Service Representative, you'll play an important role in delivering an exceptional customer experience while helping ensure our clients have the coverage they need.


Provide friendly, professional, and knowledgeable service to customers by phone, email, and in person.

Assist customers with policy changes, billing questions, payments, coverage questions, and general account needs.

Process policy changes and create, update, and submit endorsements accurately and efficiently.

Prepare and issue insurance documents, certificates, identification cards, and other policy-related documentation.

Review customer accounts to identify coverage gaps and opportunities to better protect our clients.

Educate customers about available coverage options and help them understand how their policies protect them.

Cross-sell and round out existing accounts by identifying additional insurance needs and recommending appropriate products and coverage.

Build strong, long-term relationships with customers through active listening, clear communication, and dependable follow-through.

Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of customer interactions and policy changes within agency systems.

Work proactively to resolve customer concerns and find solutions while delivering a positive experience.

Follow up with customers as needed to ensure requests and policy changes are completed accurately and on time.

Collaborate with the agency's sales and service teams to provide a seamless customer experience and contribute to overall agency goals.

Stay current on insurance products, coverage options, procedures, and company guidelines through ongoing training and development.


Requirements

Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple customer requests and priorities accurately.

Comfortable learning about insurance products, coverage options, and agency procedures.

Willingness to obtain an Oregon Property & Casualty insurance license if not already licensed.

Previous customer service, office, or insurance experience is helpful but not required.

High school diploma or equivalent.
