Position:
Infrastructure Location Technician
Are you ready to play a key role in helping our customers stay connected with fast, reliable internet? InfoWest is seeking skilled internet installation technicians to join our growing team. If you're passionate about technology and enjoy hands-on work, we want to hear from you!
As an Internet Location Technician you will be responsible for locating and marking InfoWest utilities and fiber lines to avoid being hit during construction. Use of multiple software programs will be integrated into everyday use as well as fiber mapping systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • locate & mark fiber optic lines.
  • Update mapping software
  • Use of locators, toners, and software applications on a daily basis.
  • Provide professional, courteous customer service while addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Strictly follow OSHA and company safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Work Environment:
  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions (heat, snow, wind, rain)
  • Regular face-to-face interaction with customers to ensure a positive experience
  • Typical schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm
  • Will require work in various locations throughout the day.

Qualifications:
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • using tools and working in a physically demanding environment.
  • Basic knowledge of networking and mapping systems a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical information to customers.
  • Must pass a background check, drug test, and maintain a clean driving record.

Education & Licensing:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
