The Product Tech Consultant is a member of the Visual Product Modeling System (VPMS) & Illustrations team within the Individual Life & Financial Services (ILFS) Product Development department. This individual focuses on the technical aspects of executing the development and delivery of new business and in-force life insurance illustration software capabilities to ensure on-time, on-budget and high-quality projects and deliverables for a broad range of Life, Annuity, and LTC combination insurance products.
What you will do:
  • Support new business and in-force illustrations processes with integrated systems by working with multiple IT specialists to define data integration between admin systems, ETL processes, and illustration systems for policies that are issued, not as applied, and illustrations for in-force policies
  • Support UAT, system, and regression testing and deployment for updates to legacy and current illustration systems
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for integrated systems related to illustrations
  • Access multiple admin systems and legacy illustration software packages and add new capabilities in order to troubleshoot issues
  • Create and maintain illustration product specification documentation for ILFS products to be used with external vendors
  • Develop robust test plans with specific test cases that target multiple requirements objectives
  • Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders and contributors

What you will need:
  • Bachelor's Degree with recommended college major: Math, Actuarial Science, Systems or other technical/related field
  • 1-3+ years past Insurance Industry experience or Financial Services organization ideal, but not required
  • FLMI designation is preferred
  • IT background to understand the technical aspects of the role is helpful
  • Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team building and collaboration.
