What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a Construction Worker to join our U.S. Rebuild team in San Angelo, Texas. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the role of Construction Worker, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
  • Work jointly with the Project Superintendent, Construction Foremen, and Logistics Coordinators to construct and/or repair homes in the affected area
  • Work with other construction workers and hired subcontractors when needed
  • Lead skilled and unskilled volunteer labor on the job site
  • Provide safety training and general project training for team members at the job site, and ensure all work is done according to safety standards
  • Other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications?
Serve with Excellence
As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school and three (3) to six (6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to obtain a driver's medical card (required)
  • Trade certifications (electrical, plumbing, roofing, framing, and finish carpentry) (preferred)
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License (preferred)
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects of residential home construction, from layout and foundation work to final inspection
