JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Student Laborer
Supervisor: Assigned at Hire
Working Conditions: Non-exempt; seasonal; flexible schedule as necessary; travel as required
SCOPE:
The Student Laborer assists the maintenance department in the repair to and proper condition of HRA project sites.
At all times, this employee is to maintain the integrity of the Authority in all its operations and dealings with the public and other governmental agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Student must be at least 17 years of age at the time of hire and be enrolled in school full-time for the next academic year. Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work outside. Possess a valid driver's license.
The position requires the ability to work compatibly with co-workers and residents. Listen and follow the direction of their supervisor, maintain confidentiality, and to perform in a dependable, trustworthy manner. It is necessary that the person be patient and pleasant.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Assist in cleaning, repair and painting on the exterior and interior of HRA owned units and buildings.
  2. Pick up garbage in and around HRA owned properties.
  3. Mow, re-seed, fertilize, and water public lawn areas and tend trees, shrubs, etc.
  4. Submit daily time records as directed.
  5. Other such tasks as may be assigned by HRA Management.
