Job description

Job Summary:
Emma’s is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Bakery Attendant/Barista to provide exceptional guest
service while accurately processing transactions in a refined, boutique setting. As the first point of
contact for many guests, the Cashier plays a key role in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that
reflects the elegance and charm of the patisserie.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Greet guests with a professional and friendly demeanor.
• Accurately process orders and payments using the POS system.
• Handle cash, credit, and gift card transactions with precision.
• Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.
• Answer guest questions regarding menu items, specials, and ingredients.
• Assist with packaging pastries and beverages for takeout.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor inventory of retail items and report low stock to management.
• Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Promptly deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests.
• Ensure presentation and accuracy of each order after delivery.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to coordinate timing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas.
• Respond to guest requests and communicate feedback to servers or management.
• Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Use of turbo chef oven to fulfill all hot food orders.
• Restock food items/ stations as needed
• Deliver food to dine in guest
• Use of mobile ordering device
• Ability to engage with guests and offer meaningful dialogue to enhance service and upsell

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities
• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
