We are seeking an Estate Hospitality Manager to lead and inspire our tasting room team, drive operational excellence, and expand innovative, world-class hospitality experiences that create lasting connections with our guests. Under the direction of the Senior Estate Manager, the Estate Hospitality Manager oversees all aspects of the daily operations of the Tasting Room. The ideal candidate is a luxury hospitality professional with a passion for wine, capable of guiding a high-performing team while delivering exceptional guest experiences that reflect the sophistication and artistry of our estate.

This position is based at our Lewis Cellars Estate: 6320 Silverado Trail, Napa, CA. The work schedule is Thursday - Monday. This full-time role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and the ability to work evening shifts as needed. 

Job Description

Leadership & Staff Management

  • Leads, trains, and inspires a team of wine educators and hospitality professionals to uphold the highest standards of luxury service with a hands-on approach and active floor presence.
  • Fosters a culture of professionalism, integrity, and hospitality that mirrors the prestige of our wines.
  • Communicates and consistently enforces company policies and procedures, standards of service, and performance expectations effectively to the Tasting Room staff.
  • Ensures all training materials and SOPs are accurate, up-to-date, and any changes are effectively communicated.
  • Provides individualized coaching and development to promote team member growth and retention.
  • Collaborates with internal teams (Marketing, Wine Club, Events) to execute private tastings, curated events, and exclusive release experiences.
  • Represents the estate at select industry and trade events as a brand ambassador.

Guest Experience & Operations

  • Delivers a world-class guest experience, guiding visitors through personalized tastings that reflect our commitment to craftsmanship and service.
  • Maintains impeccable presentation standards in the Tasting Room, ensuring the environment aligns with the elegance of our brand.
  • Oversees tasting room operations, including inventory control, reservation management, quality assurance, and guest satisfaction.
  • Cultivates relationships with high-value guests, members, and collectors to nurture loyalty and long-term brand advocacy.

Sales & Financial Performance

  • Shares daily/weekly budget and performance data-including wine and merchandise sales, membership growth, and staff training-with the Senior Estate Manager.
  • Partners with the Merchandise and Marketing teams to drive merchandise and wine sales.
  • Leverages guest insights and data capture to optimize sales performance, membership growth & retention, and overall profitability.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of hospitality operations management experience, with a proven track record of leading a sales-driven team; experience in the wine industry is required
    • MICHELIN & Forbes experience is a plus
  • Strong hands-on leadership and team development skills; proven success in recruiting and hiring high-performing team members
  • Proven ability in mentoring and developing teams to drive club conversion performance through effective storytelling, coaching, and customer engagement strategies
  • Strong sales background with the ability to promote and sell luxury products
  • Passion for wine, hospitality, and delivering luxury guest experiences
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage guests and staff at all levels
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs, particularly Excel (formulas, tables, charts) and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage budgets, track performance metrics, and drive sales results
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational excellence
  • Valid Alcohol and Food Handlers cards (e.g., ServSafe, TIPS) or must obtain upon employment
  • Introductory wine certification (WSET, CMS, etc.) is a plus
  • Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed

Pay Range: $90,000 - $95,000 base salary and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
