Job description

Annapolis Area Christian School is an independent, nondenominational Christian school serving Kindergarten through 12th grade students.
AACS is searching for a full-time High School (Grades 9-12) Ed Support Specialist (Special Ed teacher) beginning with the 2026-2027school year. The Educational Support Program at AACS is designed to support students within our school families with learning differences. Services needed are identified through educational testing, response to intervention protocols, individual education plans (IEP), and/or 504 plans.
Educational Support Specialists work closely with students, parents, and the High School faculty to facilitate student learning and are responsible for managing an educational support caseload, providing intervention/specialized instruction within the general education classroom and outside of the general education classroom as needed. The Ed Support specialist is also responsible for directing the work of Educational Support paraprofessionals.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in education with a focus or certificate in special education.
This position is specific for high school and will work with a team of Ed support staff to meet the needs of 9th-12th grade students.
