Job Summary: 

The assistant manager of Heavenly will oversee the operations of a high volume, seasonal rental operation as well as two small retail operations. The assistant manager is a key holder and acts as manager-on-duty in absence of other management presence. They are responsible for overseeing all aspects of retail/rental operations and directing the day-to-day routine work of a larger group of associates and supervisors. Responsible for maintaining business standards and has increased decision-making authority. Also, the Assistant Manager fulfills day-to-day work responsibilities for the organization as needed. (Key Holders: have an Alarm code, hold Keys and can open and close registers)

Job Specifications: 

  • Starting Wage: $25.00 - $32.14 /hr

Job Responsibilities: 

Day to day task will often include:

  • Responsible for Training and Maintaining Safety Standards for both guests and employees 
  • Managing a team of up to 65 frontline staff and leadership team of 10-15 employees
  • Managing through uncertainty and change positively
  • Providing consistent and direct feedback, coaching and guidance to team members.
  • Attend Assistant Manager meetings and communicate information to staff and managers
  • Responsible for monitoring rest and meal breaks.  
  • Be energetic, motivated, and possess the ability to multi-task.
  • Driving professional development in yourself as well as others
  • Designing, executing and tracking training plan for associates starting with their first day
  • Ensuring department and staff have all necessary supplies
  • Create a rewarding environment in which to work, generate a team atmosphere *Participate in and help plan the fun!
  • Identifying sales opportunities and create plans accordingly
  • Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques. Managing inventory of rental and retail product.
  • Responsible for monitoring rest and meal breaks.  
  • Communicate ideas or issues with Store and Regional Managers
  • Manage operational budgets and payroll
  • Remain current on new industry products and trends, and demonstrate knowledge of products
  • Administrative duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements: 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Minimum 2 years leadership experience
  • 2 years in retail or rental experience
  • Knowledge and passion for talent development
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task
  • Must be a team player and be able to handle fast paced stressful environment
  • Possess the desire to offer the highest customer service standards to guests
  • Familiarity with rental and retail POS system – preferred
  • 2 years resort and/or ski & snowboard experience -preferred
