Position Overview

Healing Touch Physical Therapy is actively searching for a dedicated and compassionate full-time Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Woodbridge, Virginia. This role focuses on restoring mobility and enhancing the overall quality of life for our patients through personalized treatment plans. In this position, you will collaborate with fellow therapists and support staff to deliver exceptional care, specifically targeting orthopedic rehabilitation, prevention, and performance enhancement.

Work Environment

You will work onsite at our modern rehabilitation center, which is designed to provide a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for all patients. Our facility is equipped with the latest therapy tools and equipment to support a wide range of rehabilitation activities. As part of a small team composed of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), you'll benefit from close collaboration and communication. Your standard work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify patients' needs and establish specific treatment goals.
  • Maintain an optimal patient load, averaging one patient per hour, to ensure focused and individualized care.
  • Utilize advanced therapeutic techniques to enhance clients' range of motion and mobility while minimizing the need for medication through non-surgical alternatives.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on the latest evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions.
  • Design personalized fitness and wellness programs that cater to the unique rehabilitation needs of each patient.
  • Foster a supportive and motivating environment to encourage patient commitment and progress throughout their treatment.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care and continuity of treatment.
  • Monitor patient progress and outcomes through regular assessments, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Accurately document all treatment services and patient interactions using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily services patients recovering from orthopedic surgical procedures, injuries, and chronic conditions that affect mobility. We pride ourselves on providing thorough rehabilitation services tailored specifically to the individual needs of each patient, empowering them to regain strength, enhance balance, and improve overall functionality.

Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • Active and valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
  • No disciplinary actions or infractions recorded against your professional license.
  • Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and designing effective exercise programs is required.
  • Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to streamline documentation and patient tracking.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, prior experience specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings will be highly regarded. A strong background in evidence-based practice and effective patient engagement strategies will contribute significantly to your success within our facility.
