POSITION:
Assistant Professor of Computer Science: The Department of
Computer Science invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track
appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. Effective teaching,
scholarly productivity, and service to the University are required for
retention, promotion, and tenure. This position is contingent upon the
availability of authorized funding. This is an academic year
appointment. However, opportunities exist for an additional Summer
Session appointment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Ph.D. in Computer Science or closely related field is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A potential candidate's consideration will be enhanced by providing evidence of: effective teaching of a broad range of undergraduate computer science courses.

This appointment begins in Fall 2026. Screening of applications will begin on April 6, 2026 and will continue until the position is filled. The position will remain open until filled.

COMPENSATION:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Anticipated hiring range is $8,045 - $8,526 per month for Assistant Professor (12 monthly payments per academic year). As a member of the 23-campus CSU System, we offer an extremely competitive benefits package.
