Title: Developmental Disabilities Group Home Director
Location: Bedford, MA
Full-Time | Starting Salary: $45,000
- Up to $55,000 based on relevant experience

Opportunity to advance to Group Home Director II at $55,000 following successful completion of the 3 to 6 month probationary period.
Who You Are
You are an experienced human services professional who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role. You understand the importance of creating a safe, supportive, and person-centered home environment while providing strong leadership and guidance to residential staff.
What we're looking for:
  • Two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Behavioral programming experience preferred
  • Previous residential, group home, human services, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to supervise, coach, train, and provide feedback to staff
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to respond effectively to behavioral, medical, staffing, and other unexpected situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with families, providers, DDS, advocates, and other members of the individual's support team
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and ensure program and regulatory requirements are followed
  • Comfortable overseeing medication systems, individual and program finances, household operations, and staff scheduling
  • A dependable, flexible, and hands-on leadership style
What You Will Do
As a Group Home Director, you'll oversee the daily operations of a residential program while leading a team dedicated to helping individuals with developmental disabilities live meaningful and fulfilling lives in their community.
  • Supervise and schedule residential staff and coordinate coverage as needed
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management of Counselors
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized treatment goals and behavioral programming
  • Monitor individual progress, documentation, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate routine and emergency medical needs and oversee medication administration systems
  • Oversee household operations including meals, recreational activities, finances, supplies, and facility needs
  • Ensure individuals have access to meaningful community activities and opportunities
  • Maintain compliance with agency policies and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Build positive working relationships with individuals, staff, families, DDS, providers, and advocates
  • Respond to staffing, behavioral, medical, and program needs as they arise
