As a Designer, you will be responsible for the detailed design of outside plant (OSP) elements (aerial and/or underground) and fiber designs for telecommunication networks. Essential Responsibilities:
- Design fiber optic and copper OSP networks for projects such as FTTH deployments and commercial developments
- Work with power company and design power route and one-line schematics
- Manage growth and sustainment of existing networks, including relocations and infrastructure changes
- Perform quality control, field checks, and interpret OSP records
- Create system designs, BOMs, and provide construction quotes
- Conduct site walks for data collection and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Ability to adapt within a dynamic work environment
Qualifications:
- Education: College, Trade, or Technical Diploma (preferably civil, electrical/telecommunications, GIS)
- Experience: 3+ years in OSP telecommunications or related field using AutoCAD
- Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Google Earth, Bluebeam and Adobe. GIS is a plus. Strong organizational and planning skills. Ability to interpret construction documents and collaborate effectively

- Office-based (90%) with occasional travel (<25%)
