Description:

CPC is hiring experienced Aerial Fiber Technicians to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial fiber optic cable systems while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install aerial fiber optic cable on existing utility poles.
  • Lash fiber and strand to aerial messenger wire.
  • Install guy wire, anchors, and hardware as needed.
  • Operate bucket trucks and other construction equipment safely.
  • Read and interpret construction prints and work orders.
  • Perform fiber cable placement, slack storage, and cable routing.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections.
  • Ensure all work meets company and customer quality standards.
  • Follow OSHA and company safety policies at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and customers.
  • Complete required documentation and daily production reports.
Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in aerial fiber construction or telecommunications.
  • Ability to climb poles when required and work from bucket trucks.
  • Knowledge of aerial fiber installation methods and industry standards.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and maps.
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to travel and work overtime when needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with strand, lashing, and fiber placement.
  • Experience operating bucket trucks and trailers.
  • Knowledge of fiber optic construction practices.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
