Job Summary:
The Landscape Technician, working under the direction of the Landscape Manager, maintains outdoor areas around the golf courses and roadsides by mowing, trimming, planting, watering, spraying herbicides, and general cleanup using various tools and machinery to keep the grounds clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing, requiring physical fitness and basic equipment knowledge.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • application of weed control
  • mowing and trimming of turf on roadways
  • removal of leaves and weeds/destressed planting material
  • maintaining cleanliness and safety of property
  • planting and trimming of bushes/trees
  • planting, watering, and maintaining seasonal plants and beds
  • maintaining hardscapes and natural area beds

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • A high attention to detail and awareness
  • Ability to frequently bend and lift
  • Ability to work in all kinds of weather
  • Ability to adequately understand and communicate in English
  • Ability to work weekend mornings (every-other) and holidays (mainly just morning)
  • Ability to operate, or willingness to learn to operate, a manual shift utility vehicle responsibly
  • Ability to drive golf cart responsibly
  • Requires visual focus adjustment, depth perception, and clear close and distant vision
  • Ability to use small engine landscaping equipment and hand tools

Requirements
Education and Experience:

  • Driving and operating equipment for extended periods of time.
