Job description

Job Title: Bag Room Attendant Department: Outside Golf Operations
Reports to: Outside Golf Ops Manager Effective Date: August 2024
Job Summary:
North Ridge Country Club is a private club offering two 18-hole golf courses, a driving range, learning center and Pro Shop in addition to other amenities outside of Golf to its members. The Bag Room Attendant assists our members with their golf equipment, cleans and prepares golf carts, maintains the range by collecting and preparing golf balls. This is a customer service role and Bag Room Attendants should always be friendly and professional with members and staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Promptly greet members and guests arriving at bag drop
  • Staging golf carts awaiting play and ensuring that carts are properly equipped with two towels, scorecard, pencil, full sand bottle, and clean cooler.
  • Loading of all stored bags at least one hour before scheduled tee-time, or at request of golf staff or member.
  • At completion of play, responsible for cleaning Member's clubs and ensuring that those clubs are properly stored.
  • Provide each member and guest arriving at bag drop with personal attention and ensure that his or her clubs are handled properly.
  • Ensure that the driving range always has enough range balls for members and guests' practice.
  • Clear balls off of the chipping green each and every time balls are delivered to driving range.
  • Picking balls from the driving range and washing them at Bag Room. There must be enough balls to last the day and next morning.
  • Clearing the range and chipping green upon closing of the practice facilities. All balls must be cleared from the chipping green, chipping area, practice bunker and area near 1st tee of the Lakes course.
  • Responsible for clearing of all used golf carts and parking them accordingly at the end of play.
  • All towels used that day are to be washed, dried, and folded, when applicable, at the end of the day.
  • All trash and aluminum cans must be disposed of properly. Check Point washstand for Pro Shop trash.
  • To ensure that the Bag Room and cart shed area are clean and presentable at the end of the day.

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong customer service skills
Approachable and comfortable with talking to members of the Club
Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
Learn and retain Member's names, preferences, etc.
Previous knowledge of golf course operations preferred but not required.
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, morning, and evening shifts.
Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 30-50 lbs.
Stand or walk for scheduled shifts
Work outside for extended periods of time
