Job description

Job Summary Assist in the daily food and beverage operations at the Scott Schreiner Golf Course by operating the beverage cart on the golf course. Duties include but are not limited to providing excellent customer service to golfers, preparing and stocking the beverage cart, selling food and beverages, handling cash and point-of-sale transactions, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and ensuring compliance with all applicable safety, health, and TABC regulations. The Beverage Cart Attendant plays a key role in promoting a positive and enjoyable golf experience for all patrons.

Note: This position is eligible to receive tips in addition to an hourly wage. Principal Duties and Responsibilities This information is intended to be descriptive of the key responsibilities of the position. The following examples do not identify all duties performed by any single incumbent.

Provide friendly, efficient, and courteous service to golfers and guests throughout the golf course. Operate the beverage cart during assigned shifts, including driving the cart safely and responsibly on the course. Stock, restock, and inventory food and beverage items on the beverage cart at the beginning and throughout each shift.

Prepare the beverage cart with ice, supplies, and products prior to operation. Sell food and beverage items and accurately process cash, credit card, and point-of-sale transactions. Verify pricing, applicable taxes, tips, and other charges for accuracy.

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the beverage cart and storage areas in accordance with health and safety standards. Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures. Maintain compliance with Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) Seller/Server regulations.

Promote specials and answer customer questions regarding available products. Complete opening, closing, cleaning, inventory, and related paperwork duties as assigned. Return unused food and beverage items to proper storage areas at the end of each shift.

Communicate customer feedback, concerns, or issues to the supervisor in a timely manner. Performs other duties as may be assigned. Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Abilities: Education, Certification and Experience Required: Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Possession of a valid Texas Class C Driver's License. Possession of TABC and Texas Food Handler Certification, or ability to obtain within 2 weeks of employment. Must be bondable.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to handle cash and use a computerized point-of-sale system. Ability to record and submit report of credit card and cash tips at the conclusion of each assigned shift. Ability to exercise good judgment and effectively enforce course rules.

Ability to operate a golf cart safely. Ability to maintain courteous and helpful working relationships with the public of all ages. Golf course etiquette and golf game knowledge preferred, but not required.

Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays. Ability to maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance. Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Frequently stands, sits, walks, bends, and lifts (up to 25 pounds) while serving and speaking with patrons and guests.
