Why This Role Exists

This role exists to support continued production demand for mission-critical electromechanical components used across aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.

At Aveox, Inc., this position plays a key role in producing precision parts for advanced brushless DC motors, motion control systems, and power conversion technologies — where quality, traceability, and reliability are non-negotiable.

---

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC lathes (2-, 3-, 5-, and 6-axis)
  • Create first-article parts from prints and prototypes
  • Perform live tooling operations and mill-turn work
  • Select tooling, set offsets, and verify workholding
  • Machine print-to-part components to tight tolerances
  • Self-inspect first articles and complex parts using precision measurement tools
  • Ensure full traceability per AS9100 standards
  • Detect and report nonconforming materials or process issues
  • Collaborate with purchasing and vendors for tooling and material needs
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines
  • Work independently with minimal supervision in a high-precision environment

---

Machines, Controls & Software

You’ll work with equipment such as:

Machines: Multi-axis CNC lathes with live tooling (mill-turn capability)
Controls: Fanuc-type controls common in multi-axis turning environments
CAM Software: GibbsCAM (required)
Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other precision gauges

---

Materials You’ll Work With

  • Aluminum
  • Alloy and stainless steels
  • Other aerospace-grade materials used in electromechanical assemblies

---

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • 5+ years of CNC programming and machining experience
  • Strong experience with CNC lathes and mill-turn operations
  • Proficiency with GibbsCAM
  • Ability to read blueprints and complex sectional drawings
  • Solid understanding of GD&T
  • Experience performing setups, offsets, and first-article inspections
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (ITAR requirement)

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Experience with Doosan machines
  • Experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing environments

---
