We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Geotechnical Laboratory Manager to oversee the daily operations of our geotechnical testing laboratory in Canton, New York. This position is responsible for managing laboratory personnel, maintaining quality standards, ensuring accreditation compliance, and delivering timely, accurate testing services.

Geotechnical Laboratory Manager Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
  • 5 years of geotechnical laboratory experience preferred
  • Supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, and NYSDOT testing procedures
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 1 year preferred

Geotechnical Laboratory Manager Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day laboratory operations and personnel
  • Coordinate testing schedules and project priorities
  • Ensure compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, and NYSDOT standards
  • Review and approve testing reports and laboratory documentation
  • Maintain quality management and accreditation requirements
  • Train, mentor, and supervise laboratory staff
  • Oversee equipment calibration and maintenance programs
  • Promote workplace safety and regulatory compliance
  • Serve as the primary laboratory contact for clients and project managers
