Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the proper washing of tableware, flatware, glassware and other kitchen equipment, including monitoring machine rinse pressure and water temperature to meet sanitation guidelines.
  • Responsible for maintaining the kitchen and other assigned areas in a sanitary manner
  • Establish and maintain courteous and professional working relationships with coworkers, residents and guests
  • Must be familiar with food handling procedures and state and local regulations
  • Must know how to operate kitchen appliances such as the dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, coffee maker and ice machine
  • Retrieve garbage and recyclables from residence floors as needed
  • Maintain the compactor room and place garbage curbside for pick up daily as required
  • May be required to help with inventory, maintenance, food deliveries, and shelving stock
  • Participate in on-going in-service and training requirements
  • Follow emergency procedures
  • Understand and comply with all Inspir safety practices and procedures

Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:

  •  High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience with and passion for working with seniors
