KOLBE CATHEDRAL PREP PART TIME
Kolbe Cathedral Prep is seeking a dynamic, motivated and knowledgeable boys' soccer coach who can lead a growing program to new heights.
The coach's job description includes planning and leading practices, developing game strategies, and managing the team during competitions. Key responsibilities also involve teaching soccer skills, motivating players, ensuring player safety, and promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic achievement in accordance with the Kolbe Prep mission statement. Coaches must also handle administrative duties such as equipment inventory, and communication with parents and school officials.
Key responsibilities
  • Training and player development:
    • Plan and conduct training sessions to improve individual skills and team performance.
    • Develop and implement game strategies and tactics.
    • Assess player strengths and weaknesses.
    • Help players stay fit through conditioning programs.
  • Game management:
    • Make decisions on player substitutions and lineup during games.
    • Coach and motivate the team during matches.
    • Strategize against opposing teams.
  • Team and player management:
    • Foster a positive team culture and encourage good sportsmanship.
    • Motivate players both on and off the field.
    • Mentor student-athletes and promote academic achievement.
    • Enforce team rules and codes of conduct.

  • Administrative duties:
    • Communicate regularly with parents and school administrators.
    • Manage budgets and equipment inventory.
    • Ensure compliance with school and league rules and regulations.
    • Coordinate with the athletic director as needed.
