What is a Full Time Full Stack Developer with Visa Sponsorship?

A Full Time Full Stack Developer with Visa Sponsorship is a professional software engineer who works on both the front-end and back-end of web applications, employed in a full-time position. Visa sponsorship means the employer is willing to support eligible international candidates in obtaining a work visa to legally work in the country. These roles typically require proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks, and the ability to handle both client-side and server-side development. Employers may sponsor visas such as the H-1B in the United States for qualified candidates. This provides opportunities for skilled developers from abroad to work and live in a new country while contributing to the company's technology projects.

What are some common challenges Full Stack Developers face when working with distributed teams, and how can they overcome them?

Full Stack Developers often collaborate with colleagues across different locations and time zones, which can lead to challenges such as communication gaps and difficulties in coordinating project deliverables. To overcome these obstacles, it's important to establish clear communication channels, document code and processes thoroughly, and use project management tools for tracking progress. Regular virtual meetings and code reviews also help ensure alignment and foster teamwork, enabling smooth project execution even in distributed environments.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Full Stack Developer (with visa sponsorship), and why are they important?

To thrive as a Full Stack Developer, you need strong proficiency in both front-end and back-end technologies (such as JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React, Node.js, and databases), usually supported by a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with version control systems (like Git), cloud platforms, and common development frameworks, as well as certifications in web development or cloud technologies, are often required. Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills help you work effectively within diverse, cross-functional teams, especially in international environments. These skills ensure you can deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions while adapting to different technical and cultural contexts often present in visa-sponsored roles.

Job description

Who we are:
Quavo is the industry leader in fraud and disputes management technology, offering the world's only E2E cloud-based Disputes as a Service solution for issuing financial services organizations. Quavo is an organization of tenacious experts who are innovative and challenge complacency to continuously deliver cutting edge technology and AI. Our experts are passionate about delivering value in our solutions and empowering our client community to enhance and evolve industry standards in fraud and disputes management.
Who you are:
Quavo is looking for authentic and courageous professionals to join our team. If you are a driven, accountable, and innovative problem solver searching for a collaborative environment of like-minded teammates dedicated to improving the client experience.... Then you are going to love working at Quavo!
About the role:
You will work closely with a Senior Product Manager (Data/API) who owns the strategy and roadmap for Quavo's data platform and API-driven products. This Product Manager defines API contracts, data schemas, SLA targets, integration patterns, and relies on a strong engineering partner to turn those definitions into a reliable, scalable reality.
Success in this role means building a trusted partnership with the Product team: translating requirements into technical solutions, surfacing engineering constraints early, and co-owning delivery outcomes across data pipelines, APIs, and platform reliability.
We look for people who are Innovative - who act, learn, and improve with pace and intent - and Accountable - who own outcomes from decision to result. If you thrive in an environment where your technical decisions have real impact and autonomy is the norm, this role is for you.
This role is not sponsorship eligible. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship, now or in the future. This includes OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, H-1B, or any other visa requiring employer sponsorship or support.
Responsibilities:
Data Platform & Pipeline Engineering
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes that support real-time and batch data flows across Quavo's platform
  • Translate data product requirements - API contracts, data schemas, and SLA targets - into production-grade implementations
  • Monitor data quality, pipeline reliability, and latency; define and enforce data contracts to ensure consistency across consumers

API Development & Integration
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs that expose data platform capabilities to internal teams and external partners
  • Partner with the Product Manager on API versioning, deprecation policies, and developer-facing documentation
  • Build integrations with financial systems ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance

Full Stack Development & Cloud Engineering
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of releases, patches, and hotfixes for Node.js applications deployed on AWS
  • Design software solutions that align architecture and cloud services with the overall IT and AWS strategy
  • Build and maintain front-end interfaces (Vue/Vuetify, HTML5, CSS3) that surface data insights to end users

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of full stack development experience with a meaningful focus on data-intensive applications, including hands-on ownership of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, or API-driven data products in production
  • Proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue/Vuetify), with knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5 and CSS3
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, Lambda, and DynamoDB
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket and Bitbucket Pipelines

Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Data Analytics)
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar platforms and working with large datasets across real-time and batch processing patterns
  • Experience with Docker and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Financial industry experience, particularly in fintech, payments, disputes, or fraud
  • Exposure to data observability tooling, data quality frameworks, or data contract implementations
  • Experience contributing to AI/ML-adjacent data products or feature pipelines
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum Development
