What are some common challenges faced by full-time freelance security professionals, and how can they be managed?

Full-time freelance security professionals often face challenges such as inconsistent work schedules, varying client expectations, and the need to stay updated with the latest security protocols. Managing these challenges involves effective time management, clear communication with clients about deliverables, and ongoing professional development to maintain relevant certifications. Building a strong professional network and maintaining a solid reputation can also help secure regular contracts and referrals.

What is a Full Time Freelance Security professional?

A Full Time Freelance Security professional is an independent contractor who provides security services to clients on a full-time basis, rather than being employed by a single company. Their responsibilities can include monitoring premises, managing access control, conducting security assessments, and responding to incidents. They often work with businesses, events, or individuals who need specialized or flexible security support. Freelance security professionals may have backgrounds in law enforcement, military, or private security, and they must typically be licensed and insured. This role offers flexibility and variety but also requires strong self-management and networking skills to maintain steady work.

To thrive as a Full-Time Freelance Security Professional, you need a solid understanding of security protocols, risk assessment, and relevant legal regulations, often supported by prior experience in law enforcement or security and applicable licenses. Strong situational awareness, discretion, and excellent interpersonal skills help freelancers build trust with clients and effectively defuse conflicts. These skills and qualifications are crucial for maintaining safety, protecting property, and ensuring client confidence in diverse security environments.

Job description

We’re Jubilee Media.

At Jubilee, we're on a mission to provoke understanding and create human connection. We explore experiences that push people to feel more, think more, and see more in others. We challenge the belief of a black-and-white world, and instead embrace the complexity and richness of our experiences. By magnifying these stories we can discover personal identities, shared truths, and how we fit in the overarching human story. People are at the heart of everything we do, and we're looking for the next passionate teammate to join us on this journey. Together, we have the power to shift perspectives—and maybe even change the world.

About This Role
As a Post Producer at Jubilee, you will lead the post process from wrap to delivery. This role is equal parts creative and operational—you’ll oversee workflows, schedules, budgets, and teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on brand, and at the highest quality level. This role works in close partnership with emerging internal leaders across the post-production team. You’ll collaborate closely with producers, editors, creatives, and stakeholders to bring stories to life across digital, social, and branded content platforms!

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage post schedules, workflows, and budgets to ensure efficiency and on-time delivery
  • Oversee the post-production budget, making strategic recommendations to management on optimizing spend and allocating resources to maximize value
  • Hire and coordinate freelance editors; negotiating contracts, supplying footage, and general communication
  • Create and maintain sustainable processes for organizing the post-production asset library, ensuring proper data backups and seamless access to resources
  • Design and implement post-production processes that balance operational efficiency with creative quality, ensuring seamless workflow across all stages
  • Evaluate and improve organizational systems related to file and data management, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and security across all assets
  • Manage deliverables for YouTube and Spotify releases, coordinating timelines and ensuring content is published on schedule and to specification
  • Proactively develop strategies to optimize scheduling and task management, streamlining workflows to enhance department efficiency
  • Delegate and track tasks for both full-time and freelance editors, ensuring timely delivery of YouTube and Spotify edits while maintaining high standards of quality
  • Represent Post-production in cross-functional series kickoff meetings to gather additional information on edit scheduling needs
  • Develop and refine new processes to support the Post Production department, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Manage, mentor, and guide editors through regular feedback and development, ensuring team cohesion, growth, and high-quality output
  • Serve as the point of communication between our post-production team and other departments, including Production, Brand Partnerships and Brand Marketing

Who You Are:

  • 3+ years of experience in post-production (digital media a plus!)
  • Proven experience supervising editors and managing post workflows
  • Passionate about logistics, details, and organization. Experience with Asana is a plus
  • Able to multitask and juggle multiple projects at once
  • A leader who enjoys meeting new people and bringing the best out of them
  • A flexible problem-solver who takes the initiative in finding solutions and is proactive about spotting obstacles before they arise
  • Looking to be a part of a team that emphasizes both personal and professional growth
  • Calm under pressure and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
  • Experience working with clients and creative stakeholders
  • Familiarity with cloud workflows, Frame.io, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.

Compensation & Perks

  • Competitive Compensation  –  $60,000 - $67,000 💰
  • Flexible PTO – Take the time you need to rest and recharge! 🌴
  • Generous Holidays –  Plus a sweet week-long reset at the end of the year ❄️
  • Medical, dental, and vision plans – Choose the one that works best for your lifestyle! 🩺
  • Team Retreats, Bonding Activities, and a People-Centered Culture 🌄
  • Catered Lunches & Stocked Kitchen 🍪
  • Annual Learning Stipend 📚
  • Life Insurance, 401(k) Plan 🏦
