Job description

Overview
MBP is seeking a highly experienced professional to join our dispute resolution practice at the Director, Managing Director, or Senior Managing Director level. This individual will bring 10+ years of expertise in forensic accounting, economic damages, and claims consulting. As a leader within the practice, you will be responsible for overseeing complex engagements, mentoring staff, and leveraging your established market presence to drive business growth. The final title and compensation structure will be commensurate with your track record of leadership and business development.
Responsibilities
MAIN DUTIES:
  • People Management & Leadership: Act as a mentor and supervisor to junior and mid-level consultants. You will be responsible for resource allocation, professional development, and maintaining a high standard of work product across the team.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for legal counsel, contractors, and other clients. You will manage expectations, provide regular project updates, and ensure that all deliverables align with the client's legal and financial objectives.
  • Expert Reporting & Testimony: Direct the drafting of expert reports, rebuttals, and visual exhibits for use in court, arbitration, or mediation. This role may involve providing expert testimony as a witness.
  • Business Development & Origination: Actively participate in the growth of the firm by leveraging your professional network. You will be expected to identify new opportunities, lead proposal efforts, and maintain a consistent pipeline of billable work.

Qualifications
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related analytical field is required. A Master's degree (MBA or MAcc) and professional certifications such as CPA or CFE are highly preferred.
  • Testimony Experience: The ideal candidate will have previous testimony experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Technical Proficiency: While this is a leadership and testifying role, you must possess the skills and abilities to perform all aspects of the work and be able to teach and train staff.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Business Development Benchmarks: Candidates must demonstrate a proven ability to generate revenue.

STATUS: Full-time
The base salary range for this position is $157,000.00 to $265,000.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on work location, qualifications, experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
