Job description

Flooring Sales & Design Consultant

We have an immediate opening for a full-time flooring sales and design consultant. This is an inside sales position assisting retail customers with their flooring and design needs.

Our ideal candidate will have a desire to approach things with a small business mindset and be able create a positive shopping experience through outstanding customer service and a personable, friendly and outgoing demeanor.

Additional qualifications include

· High personal standards

· A strong work ethic

· Ability to work 30-40 hours per week including Saturdays

Our position requires an individual to interact with customers, helping them make product choices according to their specific needs. Our goal is to provide design and flooring advice to make the customer’s buying experience easier.

Candidates are expected to be

· Self-motivated and a self-starter

· Personally well-organized

· Constantly providing excellent customer service

· Well-spoken and neat in appearance

Some of the duties for this position are

· Greeting customers on the showroom floor

· Managing the transaction from start to finish by providing customers with computer-generated job proposals and estimates

· Using a computer database to research availability of merchandise and to process orders

· Following up in a timely and professional manner with customers on all requests or concerns

· Helping customers with their choice through decorating and design advice

· Maintaining the showroom by keeping samples and displays neat, current, and clean
