Job description

Manufacturing Consultant - Boston (Entry Level)

Department: Consulting

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Boston, Massachusetts

Description

Do you want to…

  • Work in manufacturing, and be paid to travel to interesting manufacturing sites around the country (and even the world), but have your weekends free and in Boston?
  • Use your technical skills and training to solve problems across a variety of manufacturing industries, including but not limited to food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, protective fabrics, and many others?
  • Make an immediate impact, helping client teams implement real improvements in manufacturing processes within your first month of work?
  • Receive tailored development coaching from day 1, in an organization that values helping you grow your skills as quickly as possible?

If so, a career as an Operations Consultant at Chartwell Consulting could be for you!

Chartwell consultants embed ourselves at client sites Monday – Thursday to work with client teams to deliver step-change improvements in performance. This means spending time on the shop floor rather than just behind a computer, as well as working with people and machines to figure out what the real problems are – and how you’re going to fix them.

Benefits
  • Ability to apply technical and problem-solving skills from your engineering background
  • Unparalleled training and personal development opportunities
  • Competitive compensation
  • Great benefits (5 weeks of paid vacation + 13 federal holidays, additional sick time, full employer-paid premium medical, dental, and disability insurance, and 401k match)
  • Travel, accommodation, and meals covered when traveling
  • 2 Fridays per month working virtually
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
  • Results–oriented individual
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and excellent communication skills
  • Strong personal initiative and bias for action
  • Desire to constantly learn new skills
  • Willingness to travel to client sites Mon – Thurs of each week, and attend meetings in Boston 2 Fridays per month
