Job Title: Customer Service Specialist

Salary: $18.50/hr
Position Summary:
The Customer Service Specialist serves as the primary frontline link between the museum and its guests and members. He/she will answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and process transactions like ticket sales or memberships; delivering high-quality visitor experiences and collaboration with other departments to resolve complex escalations. Ultimately, this role is essential in fostering a welcoming environment that drives visitor loyalty, strengthens community engagement, and elevates the museum's overall mission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Answer incoming calls and maintain an elevated level of professionalism with customers
· Respond to e-mails and webchat, ensuring they are answered within specified time frame
· Build sustainable and lasting relationships with MOTB customers
· Proactively seek out new ways to be more efficient and effective
· Support customer acquisition and retention plans
· Support all museum of the Bible departments and their processes
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· High school diploma/GED required
· Customer service experience – call center or in-field high level of business acumen
· Proven record of consultative sales process and flexible in an ever-changing atmosphere.

· Able to to stoop, stand, climb, and occasionally lift a minimum of 10 lbs. as required
· Adapt and pivot to different duties, work schedules, or events as assigned and in accordance with operational needs
· As required, inclusion in official or incidental photographs and videos for MOTB and/or guests
· Champion the Museum of the Bible’s mission to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible.
