Job description


We are seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. This position the direct Supervisor of the Truck Repair Shop and reports to the Terminal Manager and Director of Maintenance.


The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the day to day management of the Fleet & Shop personnel of their particular location. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diesel repair, forklift operation, power tools, electrical systems, mechanics, welding, service technician duties, and vehicle maintenance.


Responsibilities:

- Oversee and coordinate the maintenance team's daily activities
- Inspect equipment and systems to identify issues
- Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
- Manage inventory of supplies and equipment
- Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Schedule & Manage 8+ Full Time Union Mechanics
- Review work orders & PM inspections
- Keep fleet compliant with Company and DOT regulations
- Supervise Key Repairs; utilize OEM software to Diagnose and Repair units
- Various Administrative Duties


Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role
- Strong knowledge of various maintenance areas including diesel repair, OEM Software, forklift operation, power tools, electrical systems, soldering, mechanics, welding, service technician duties, and vehicle maintenance
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Good understanding of budget control and inventory management
- MS Office and mid level computer skills
