About the Opportunity

Adecco is partnering with a leading Aerospace company. We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join a growing manufacturing team in Hauppauge, NY. This role is responsible for inspecting precision-machined components and assemblies, ensuring products meet engineering specifications and customer requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with quality inspection experience who enjoy working with precision measuring equipment, technical drawings, and quality systems. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to transition into a permanent position.

Responsibilities
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on components and assemblies
  • Use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges, and other inspection tools
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
  • Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation
  • Generate First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation as required
  • Support non-conforming material processes and product traceability activities
  • Prepare documentation packages for customer shipments
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality teams
  • Perform inventory and product transactions within the ERP system
  • Assist with additional inspection and quality-related activities as assigned
QualificationsRequired
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing, machining, or precision production environment
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
  • Understanding of GD&T principles
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
  • Associate degree or technical/trade school education
  • Experience with optical comparators, Keyence systems, profilometers, microscopes, SmartScope equipment, or similar inspection technology
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) experience
  • Experience with advanced Excel, Access, or statistical software
  • Experience inspecting soldered or brazed assemblies
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
