Leidos’ Defense Systems is seeking a Leidos is seeking talented PCMM Technician to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, Prototyping, scientific and IT solutions. 

The PCMM Technician will be responsible for inspecting large scale parts at various stages of machining from first piece to final inspection utilizing Romer arms, Laser trackers, or scanners (handheld or blue light) as well as any manual layout. Examples of parts are weldments, integrated assemblies, tooling etc. Other responsibilities include documenting non-conforming material as required, providing concise feedback to machinists and engineers based of data collection, and maintain all measurement equipment. Applicant must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications.

  • Candidates must have a high school diploma/GED with 2-4 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Candidates must be fluent with standard measurement equipment, i.e. micrometers, calipers, intra micrometers, optical comparator etc.
  • Candidates must have 4 or more years’ experience using Romer Arm, AS1 Scanner, Leica AT960 Laser Tracker, Leica AT402 Laser Tracker, or CMM
  • Candidates preferred to have experience with Spatial Analyzer or similar PCMM software
  • Candidates must be proficient in GD&T per ASMEY14.5-2009
  • Candidates must be able to execute or witness test procedures and generate test reports.
  • Candidates must have demonstrated experience reading and interpreting drawings, assembly schematics, and specifications and prepare handwritten or computer-generated inspection reports.
  • Generate quality documentation including inspection reports, bubble prints, C of C’s and NCR’s.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
  • Shift schedule Monday through Thursday 6:00AM – 4:30PM

Preferred Qualifications.

  • Experience in inspection of complex aerospace hardware, non-conforming material, Material Review Board (MRB), review/creation of Acceptance Data Packs / First Article Inspection
  • Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems, AS5553 counterfeit prevention, and AS9102 first article inspection
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds
