Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for a contract opportunity in Grand Prairie, TX.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
  • Secret security clearance required
  • Experience building relationships with internal and external customers
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable industry standards (AS9100, ISO9001, FAR, DFAR, JSTD etc.)
  • Experience interpreting drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and translate into work instructions
  • Ability to interpret requirements that will enable development and review of Quality Processes, and related performance metrics
  • Experience in disposition of non-conforming products and failure review boards/ investigations with causal analysis tools
  • Advanced experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
  • Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Must be able to identify and document supplier's quality deficiencies and ensure effective corrective actions
  • Experience developing inspection plans
  • Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)

Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
  • Prior leadership or people management experience
  • Special Process Engineering experience
  • Manufacturing of various commodities experience
  • Able to work without appreciable direction

AS9102 first article inspections, hardware source inspections, and performing audit/surveillance on supplier production processes/procedures experience
Apriso and SAP Application experience
  • Mentoring and training of peers experience
  • Process capability analysis and interpretation, gage R&R, or measurement system analysis experience

Effective Communication Skills - written, oral, listening and technical writing
REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • Accredited Bachelor's degree or higher in STEM, or equivalent years of experience
