A full time film rental house is a business that provides equipment and gear—such as cameras, lenses, lighting, and grip gear—to filmmakers, production companies, and content creators. These companies operate year-round and offer rental services for projects ranging from feature films to commercials. In addition to equipment, they may provide technical support, delivery, and sometimes even crew recommendations. To thrive in a full-time film rental house role, a solid understanding of camera, lighting, and grip equipment, along with relevant industry experience or technical training, is essential. Familiarity with inventory management software, booking systems, and equipment maintenance tools is typically required. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are crucial soft skills for handling client requests and coordinating logistics. These competencies ensure efficient operations, high customer satisfaction, and the safe, accurate handling of valuable equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Working full time at a film rental house typically involves managing the inventory of cameras, lighting, and other production equipment, ensuring all items are cleaned, tested, and ready for client pickups and returns.
