Is AI replacing video editors?

AI technology is increasingly used to assist video editors by automating tasks such as rough cuts, color correction, and basic editing. However, full-time film editors still play a crucial role in creative decision-making, storytelling, and fine-tuning edits that require human judgment and artistic skill. AI tools are viewed as complementary rather than replacements in the editing profession.
