Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We're hiring an experienced Service Technician for rotating industrial equipment. This role is essential in supporting customers, production, and manufacturing by providing start-up, maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting technical service on industrial fans and blowers. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial maintenance, welding, and customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the erection, inspection, and start-up of industrial fans and blowers at customer sites, New York Blower factories, and testing facilities.
  • Perform alignment of shafts, installation of roller and sleeve bearings, shafts, instrumentation, actuators, dampers, silencers, motors, and lubrication units.
  • Troubleshoot rotating equipment issues and provide solutions onsite.
  • Assist in installation of low-medium voltage motors and VFD's.
  • Install and operate vibration, temperature, noise, speed, pressure, and flow sensors and systems.
  • Provide instructions and inspection of required welding on nyb products.
  • Provide instruction and guidelines on safety procedures for the installation and operation of New York Blower equipment.
  • Provide feedback to sales about all opportunities for business at customer sites.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Proven work experience as a rotating equipment specialist.
  • Ability to problem solve technical and complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to use aerodynamic, alignment, noise, vibration, mechanical, and electrical measurement tools.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associates degree preferred.
  • BA/BS technical degree is a plus.
