Active Living Orthopedic Facility is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Oak Lawn, Illinois. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work in an orthopedic outpatient setting where you will play a crucial role in helping patients restore their mobility and quality of life. Work Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, which is designed to create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for patients. You will be working alongside a team that includes two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all dedicated to delivering outstanding care. Our facility is equipped with the latest tools and technologies, including EMR software (WebPT) for efficient patient management and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients’ physical conditions and design individualized treatment plans to address their specific goals and rehabilitation needs.
  • Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring focused and personalized care during each session.
  • Implement various treatment techniques to enhance mobility, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular training.
  • Educate patients on safe exercise practices and teach them preventative strategies to avoid future injuries.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians and other specialists, to formulate integrated care plans for patients.
  • Monitor patients’ progress throughout their rehabilitation journey and adjust treatment plans as needed based on outcomes.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment provided, ensuring accurate records are maintained according to facility policies and compliance standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility primarily serves individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will work with a diverse population ranging from athletes seeking to maximize performance to elderly patients regaining mobility after repair surgeries. Qualifications
  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; preference is given to candidates with a Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
