What's the role?
The Inventory team designs the products that power selling on Etsy, from crafting a listing to helping buyers discover and purchase it. Sellers spend more time here than anywhere else in Shop Manager, making Listings one of the most important parts of the Etsy experience and a unique opportunity to shape both the seller and buyer journey.
As a Staff Product Designer, you'll lead some of Etsy's most ambitious product work. You'll explore how AI can transform listing creation, rethink inventory management across web and mobile. You'll work across strategy, systems, interaction design, and visual craft to simplify complex workflows and create experiences that feel distinctly Etsy. Your work will help millions of entrepreneurs spend less time managing their shops and more time creating.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Product Design, Inventory.
What's this team like at Etsy?

• We're a team of 4 product designers within the seller design organization.
• This role supports our List Create squad, partnering with Product, Engineering, ML, Research, and Analytics to shape how sellers create listings and how buyers discover, understand, and purchase them.
• We're research-driven and care deeply about craft. We prototype early, experiment with AI throughout the design process, and continually push the quality of visual design, interaction design, and motion.

What does the day-to-day look like?

• Lead end-to-end design projects across Inventory teams, from early concepts through launch, partnering closely with cross functional partners to build products sellers love.
• Prototype ideas to explore concepts, gather feedback, and guide product decisions.
• Push the quality of visual design, interaction design, motion, and design systems.
• Mentor designers through feedback, critiques, and day-to-day collaboration.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

• Exceptional visual design craft, backed by a portfolio of shipped product work.
• Strong motion and interaction design skills that improve clarity, usability, and delight.
• Excellent storytelling and communication skills that bring ideas to life and influence decisions.
• Expertise in prototyping, from rapid exploration to polished, high-fidelity experiences.
• Experience using AI to accelerate design exploration and improve product outcomes.
• A track record of bringing clarity to complex, ambiguous product challenges.
• 7+ years of product design experience. Agency experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
In addition to salary, you'll be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family. Base salary is determined by your location, skills, and experience.
Etsy uses two geographic pay zones to reflect the labor markets where we compete for talent: one called Geo-1, covering the New York City metropolitan area, San Francisco Bay Area, and Seattle metropolitan area, and one called Geo-2, covering all other U.S. locations. Salary ranges for this role vary by zone and are listed below.
Location
We prioritize candidates based within commutable distance of Etsy's Brooklyn Office. Depending on proximity, we ask team members to come in once or twice per week. Remote candidates outside commutable distance may be considered on a case-by-case basis, with the expectation of occasional travel to the office. Salary Range:
• Geo-1: 187,000.00 - 253,000.00 USD Annual• Geo-2: 168,000.00 - 228,000.00 USD Annual
